Cardiff Rugby will kick-off their European Challenge Cup campaign at Stade Jean Bouin as they take on Stade Francais Paris on Saturday, December 6.

The Blue & Blacks take on the Parisians in Round One, before hosting Ulster Rugby and Racing 92 at the Arms Park in a fiercely competitive Pool One of the competition.

Cardiff host Ulster on Saturday, December 13, (20:00), while Racing 92 arrive in the Welsh Capital for a 15:15 kick-off on Saturday, January 10.

Matt Sherratt’s side then round off the group stages against Exeter Chiefs at Sandy Park on Sunday, January 18 (13:00).

Sherratt said: “We are all really excited about what lies ahead in the Challenge Cup this season. It is a really strong and competitive pool, with some top quality opposition, but that is a challenge we are relishing.

“There is the added motivation of the finals taking place in Bilbao where some of the players, staff and of course supporters have some great memories. It would be great to go on another run but we’ll be taking it one game at a time with some tough encounters.

“Having Racing 92 at home on a Saturday afternoon is also superb and we are really pleased to have the opportunity to engage with families and community clubs on that day.”
