International | 25th October 2019

Josh Adams, Dillon Lewis and Tomos Williams have been included in Wales’ matchday 23 for the blockbuster semi final clash against South Africa in Yokohama on Sunday.

The Cardiff Blues trio have featured in all five of Wales’ games on route to the final four, with Adams lining up on the wing and academy graduate Williams and Lewis featuring from the bench.

Wing Adams is the tournament’s joint top try scorer, alongside Japan’s Kotaro Matsushima and Springboks star Makazole Mapimpi.

Meanwhile, Lewis and Williams have made impact as replacements, in particular during the quarter final win over France.

Three further Cardiff Blues academy products feature in the squad in the form of Leigh Halfpenny, Rhys Patchell and Rhys Carré.

Warren Gatland has made a total of two changes from the quarter final victory over Les Bleus, with full back Halfpenny drafted in to replace injured Saracens star, Liam Williams.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Davies returns to the number 13 jersey, having missed out on the French encounter with an injury.

Scarlets scrum half, Gareth Davies, will win his 50th international cap.
