Cardiff Blues South U18 name side to take on undefeated Scarlets at CAP

22nd January 2018

Cardiff Blues South U18 have made five changes ahead of Tuesday's Regional Age Grade Championship clash against Scarlets at Cardiff Arms Park (KO 7.00pm)

Following back-to-back victories against RGC and Cardiff Blues North earlier this month, Gareth Nicholas' side will look to bounce back from last week's agonising 13-10 defeat to Ospreys at Brewery Field.

Scarlets head into the clash sitting on top of the table, with maximum points, following seven bonus point victories in the opening seven fixtures.

Hooker Owen Harvey is recalled to the front row, replacing Max Lucas as one of three changes in the pack.

Cameron Roy also comes into the starting XV alongside Aaron Churchill, who is named at number eight. Churchill replaces flanker Ellis Reid, with Dylan Rigby making the switch to the blindside.

The two changes made in the backline sees a new centre partnership of Jack Roberts and Max Cunnington. As a result, Joe Patterson, who wore the number 13 shirt for the Ospreys clash last week, switches to left wing with Jay Jones and Ioan Davies retaining their place in the back three.

Cardiff Blues South U18: Ioan Davies; Jay Jones, Max Cunnington, Jack Roberts, Joe Patterson; James Beetham, Joe Williams; Joe Melhuish, Owen Harvey, Adam Conway, Cameron Roy, Teddy Williams, Dylan Rigby, James Bartlett, Aaron Churchill

Replacements: Max Lucas, Luke Williamson, Harry O'Connor, Lewis Jameson, Ellis Reid, Josh Nolan, Odin Pronk, Drew Stephens
