Cardiff Blues Secure Bright Future with PV Solar

4th March 2012

An expanding renewable energies company called PV Solar Solutions has become an official partner to the Cardiff Blues for the next three seasons.

The young, but successful solar panel company is excited to sponsor the team and be involved in the Cardiff Blues partnership.

PV Solar Solutions will have their logo feature on the back of the teams playing shirts, and will benefit from pitch side advertising boards at The Blues home games.

Since the two local entrepreneurs, Martyn Ware and Paul Hughes, set up the business a little over a year ago the Cardiff based solar panel company has grown at a phenomenal rate. In just one year PV Solar Solutions has become a multi-million pound business and one of the leading pv solar suppliers for trade and residential properties in the UK.

Director Paul Hughes said: “It’s a combination of good planning and good systems within the company.”

“Martyn and I have really grabbed the bull by the horns, seen the opportunity and gone for it.”

“We’ve had hundreds of recommendations for work and that’s helped the business massively.”

When the Government announced in October a cut to the feed in tariff, Paul and Martyn’s reaction was anything but despair. The pair are confident that recent events will be more of a business opportunity rather than a setback.

Paul said:  “We knew it was good for us because a lot of our competition and the free panel specialists are being taken out of the market by this change.”

“We will now be able to concentrate our business on the customers who have the money to buy the systems.”

Customers are quick to praise the work of PV Solar Solutions. Vivian Fenney of Dinas Powys has 18 panels installed, and said: “It was an excellent job and the boys arrived on time. We had a few problems in fixing the panels – it is a flat roof covered with uPVC membrane and couldn’t be pierced – so the panels are free standing. The installation is going to reduce my energy costs and cut my carbon emissions.”

Martyn and Paul’s ambitions do not end there. They are already looking to venture beyond solar panel installations to create a business that will supply a complete range of green products. This will include anything from an energy saving light bulb to a full PV system.

Martyn said: “With the Green Deal coming in later this year, this will be crucial for us. We are not going to be employing sales people, we are going to be employing energy assessors. We’ll have all green products under one roof.”

The ambitions for the company are endless and they believe their partnership with Cardiff Blues will be a successful collaboration for both parties involved. PV Solar Solutions are excited to be a part of such a reputable local team and look forward to the partnership over the next three years.
