The long-awaited moment has arrived when all Cardiff club and regional fans can order their season tickets.
Today they became available online at www.cardiffrugbytickets.com. All database customers of Cardiff Rugby were sent the 2003/4 season ticket brochure in the following seven days..
Among many attractive packages is the facility to order a combined season ticket for regional and club rugby that will leave fans breathless from the surfeit of top-class entertainment at Cardiff Arms Park.
Celtic League and Cup fixtures to be announced next week will provide regular competition against the crack Irish, Scottish and Welsh regional sides from the first week in September to the middle of May 2004. For the first time there will be no break in the fixtures during the Six NationsÂ’ Championship.
CardiffÂ’s commercial manager, Tina Tew, said,
“We have all been anxious about the format of the new set-up but when the Celtic League committee officially announces the fixtures next week I genuinely believe that everyone will be thrilled by the rugby on offer. We have Celtic Cup as well as Celtic League games to look forward to.
“After that we will hear about our Heineken Cup dates and the prospect of players like Brian O’Driscoll of Leinster Lions, Jason Robinson of Sale Sharks, and Philippe Bernat-Salles of Biarritz Olympique running out onto the Arms Park is something to savour. We are including the Heineken Cup matches in our season ticket packages.”
Two alternative packages are on offer : a combined Cardiff Blues/Cardiff Rugby deal that allows everyone to support both teams from the birth of a new rugby age or an exclusive Cardiff Rugby offer, guaranteeing regular Saturday afternoon entertainment at the Arms Park.
Tina Tew added,
“We really believe that the two teams go hand-in-hand and the discounts built in to the early bird system will attract fans old and new. We are all excited by the season ahead and convinced that Cardiff Arms Park will be the place to be and to be seen.”
