Cardiff Blues quartet gear up for crucial Fiji showdown

International | 7th October 2019

Four Cardiff Blues players have been included in Wales' matchday 23 for the crucial Rugby World Cup clash against Fiji on Wednesday (KO 10.45am BST).

Warren Gatland has made two changes to his side, with James Davies and Ross Moriarty drafted into the back-row as Wales' Capital Region star, Josh Navidi, moves to the blindside.

Josh Adams retains his place on the wing in an unchanged backline, while Tomos Williams and Dillon Lewis remain on the bench for the Pool D encounter.

Two Cardiff Blues academy graduates appear on the bench in the form of Rhys Patchell and Rhys Carré, who is set for his World Cup debut.

Following wins over Georgia and Australia in the opening two rounds, a victory against the Fijians would take Wales a step closer to securing top spot in their pool.
