Cardiff Blues will face London Scottish and Exeter Chiefs during their preparations for the 2017-18 season.
Following a seventh-placed Guinness PRO12 finish, Wales’ Capital Region are determined to build on their progress and push into the top half of the table.
Qualification for the top-tier European Champions Cup will once again be the ultimate target and Danny Wilson’s men will gear up for the challenge with clashes against English opposition.
They will kick-off their schedule with a trip to face London Scottish at the Athletic Ground, Richmond on Saturday, August 19 (kick-off TBC).
Then on Friday, August 25 (7.15pm) they will take on Aviva Premiership finalists Exeter Chiefs at Cardiff Arms Park.
Danny Wilson said: “Following the conclusion of the 2016-17 season we already turning our focus to pre-season and our next Guinness PRO12 campaign.
“We are determined to climb into the top six and although only five-points separated us this season, it will take a lot of hard work to close that gap.
“These pre-season fixtures will give us the perfect opportunity to gear-up for the long and hard season.
“We will use the trip to face London Scottish, who are strong Championship opposition, as an opportunity for a few days of team building, as well as the game.
“Exeter Chiefs, who are in the Premiership final this week, will provide not only a great challenge but a great occasion at Cardiff Arms Park.”
Ticket details for Cardiff Blues v Exeter Chiefs on Friday, August 25 (7.15pm) will be released in due course and the fixture is included in Season Membership packages.
Attendances at Cardiff Arms Park rose by 18 per-cent in the season past and it is hoped that trend will continue as Wilson’s side continue to progress.
