Cardiff Blues can confirm a member of the senior squad tested positive for Covid-19 last week following a household transmission.
The player, who is experiencing very mild symptoms, is now self-isolating and following all Public Health Wales guidelines.
A thorough track and trace process subsequently identified one further individual as a close contact. They are also self-isolating and currently asymptomatic.
Following a scheduled de-load week, all remaining players and rugby staff have been tested and returned negative results for Covid-19.
Training, ahead of this weekend’s European Challenge Cup encounter against Newcastle Falcons, resumed on Tuesday.
The Falcons, European Professional Club Rugby and the Welsh Rugby Union have all been informed and the region continue to follow all necessary protocols and procedures.
