Cardiff Blues are delighted to announce a new partnership with Cardiff and Vale College, one of the country’s largest and most exciting colleges.
The new partnership will see the Cardiff and Vale College logo on the front of the Cardiff Blues team shorts for the 2012/2013 season.
In August 2011 Barry College and Coleg Glan Hafren, two established and successful Further Education (FE) colleges merged to create Cardiff and Vale College / Coleg Caerdydd a’r Fro. The College offers a vast range of training and education to more than 25,000 students from across Cardiff, the Vale of Glamorgan and beyond and has the widest range of course choices available in the Capital Region.
The College has recently had to extend its enrolment period until September 14 due to the sheer number of applications received – course places are still available. Anyone who is interested in learning new skills or progressing in their career should visit www.cavc.ac.uk for details of which courses still have places on them.
Speaking at the announcement of the sponsorship deal, Cardiff and Vale College Vice Principal for Curriculum Delivery, Attainment and Progression Kay Martin said: “Cardiff and Vale College might be one of the newest Colleges in Wales, but we have a long and proud legacy of sporting achievement. We are extremely happy to be a sponsor of Cardiff Blues, and we are sure that through this sponsorship the College will gain a much wider audience across Wales and the region.
“Other activities associated with the sponsorship mean that we can also enhance the extensive work we do to network and speak directly with key decision makers from employers across the region.”
Cardiff Blues Chief Executive Richard Holland said: “We are delighted to welcome Cardiff and Vale College to the Cardiff Blues corporate family. There is huge potential for the relationship between the two organisations to develop and expand over time and we are all looking forward to working with the College in the future.”
As mentioned above, Cardiff and Vale College is enrolling now! The enrolment period has been extended until September 14 due to high demand for course places in the Capital Region’s largest and most exciting Further Education colleges – visit www.cavc.ac.uk for details.
