Following conversations with Calvisano Rugby, Cardiff Blues can provide supporters with the following ticket advice ahead of this weekends Heineken Cup match with Calvisano at Centro Sportivo San Michele.
Match tickets for the game will be available from the Centro Sportivo San Michele venue priced from 15 Euros. No tickets are available for collection from Cardiff Arms Park.
Calvisano Ticket Office Manager Mario Pari said, We have not sent any tickets to Cardiff Blues because we have never had a "capacity crowd" at the stadium. Fans may remember that in December 2005, Cardiff Blues played at Calvisano and the game was an international event because of the return of Jonah Lomu.
"Even on that occasion, the stand was not full. I'm sure that any Cardiff fans travelling to Calvisano at the weekend will receive tickets quite comfortably for the match. All I would recommend is that the fans do not arrive at the last minute, to enable them to secure a good seat in the stand.
"We have never turned anyone away from a match from Calvisano. We reassure any fans wanting to travel to Calvisano that tickets will definitely be available from our tickets office on the morning of the match.
Cardiff Blues apologises for the disappointment this may cause fans travelling to Italy, wishing to be in possession of their tickets before departure. Unfortunately despite verbal agreement to post the tickets to Cardiff, Calvisano have failed to do so. ERC the competition organisers, have been fully notified of the situation.
