Botham wins September Defender of the Month

James Botham has been named the inaugural Defender of the Month for the 2022-23 season.
The dynamic back-row star has made six appearances so far this season and it was his contribution in the campaign opener against Munster, which claimed 33.3% of the public vote for the September Defender of the Month
In the 58th minute Rey Lee-Lo tackled Chris Farrell and Botham was on hand to swoop in for a crucial textbook turnover.
It was one of 10 turnovers Botham has made so far this season, which is the most in the BKT United Rugby Championship while his tackle success rate of 97% is fourth in the championship.
Botham beat competition from Lee-Lo, Dillon Lewis and Taulupe Faletau to take the award.
