MBN Promotions are delighted to announce the official tribute dinner to celebrate one of the greatest Welsh rugby players of all time - Gareth Thomas.
Alfie is not just Wales's most capped player and record try scorer - he's a cult figure who inspires his people.
A powerful force from full-back, wing or centre, Thomas made his name with Bridgend RFC, leading them to the last league title in 2003 before the clubs were superceded by regional rugby.
Thomas joined the short-lived Celtic Warriors before moving to France and helping Toulouse win the Heineken Cup in 2005.
He returned to Cardiff in 2007 to join the Blues - he'd previously played one season of club rugby at the Arms Park.
Thomas made his international debut against Japan in July 1995, scoring a hat-trick of tries.
2005 was his high point, he captained Wales at the start of the Grand Slam campaign before his involvement was cut short by injury, but later recovered to skipper the Lions for two tests in New Zealand in place of Brian O'Driscoll. That same year he led Wales to victory over England on their way to the 2005 Grand Slam.
Thomas was confirmed as Wales captain for the 2007 Rugby World Cup - his third tournament - and was awarded his record 100th cap for the pool game against Fiji.
We will joined on the evening by a number of Welsh rugby legends which will include current Welsh Team members for what promises to be a fitting tribute to the great man.
