Blues set for Nice trip in Heineken

7th October 2013

Cardiff Blues can reveal that the Heineken Cup away clash against reigning champions RC Toulon in January is now set be played in Nice.

The Top 14 club, who claimed the Heineken Cup with a 16-15 victory over Clermont Auvergne in May, have confirmed to officials at Blues that the Round 5 game is proposed to be hosted at the Allianz Riviera stadium in Nice.

Supporters are advised that the exact date of the fixture – that is due to be played 10/11/12 January - will be confirmed once Round 4 of the Heineken Cup is complete. Ticketing details will also be posted on www.cardiffblues.com when we have them.

Blues have been drawn in Pool 2 this season with defending champions Toulon, RaboDirect PRO12 rivals Glasgow Warriors and Aviva Premiership outfit Exeter Chiefs.

Cardiff Blues will kick off the Heineken Cup with an away match against Exeter Chiefs on Sunday (October 13) before we welcome defending champions, Toulon, to the Arms Park for our first home game on Saturday (October 19).

Season Ticket holders have access to this match as part of their seasonal package. Tickets can be bought online at www.cardiffblues/tickets in person at the Arms Park Ticket Office or over the phone on 02920 302030.
