Award-winning Ogi making their mark

Corporate | 22nd July 2022

Teams across Ogi, Wales’s home-grown broadband company, are celebrating this month, after scoping some big name awards a year into its £200million plan to bring ultrafast broadband to some of our most iconic towns and villages.

Following a highly commended nod in the South Wales Business Growth Awards earlier in the year, Ogi have steadily increased their nominations in national and UK-wide shortlists, being shortlisted in the Wales Business Awards, UK Fibre Awards and the inaugural WalesOnline Diversity & Inclusion Awards among others.

The company’s first successes, however, came in the recent Finance Wales Awards, where Chief Financial Officer, Wyn Innes took the CFO of the Year title award, followed by Financial Controller, Gwennan Oakes winning Financial Controller of the Year. A highly commended award for Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, Rhian Ford at the Finance Wales Awards, paved the way to two awards at the Wales HR Awards, with Lisa Hand, People Experience Director being named HR Director of the Year and the wider team named HR Team of the Year.

The business hopes to continue the winning streak with nominations in the Wales Contact Centre Awards and a number of UK-wide announcements due to be announced shortly.
