Adopt a Player in St Albans and Rhiwbina

4th April 2006

James Malpas had a great time on Sunday when he attended the St Albans mini rugby festival.

James was an absolute star on the day, and not satisfied with just handing out the prizes, James was a great help on the day even managing to sort out some hasty pitch rearrangements that was needed. James also was a hit with the ladies in the refreshment tent and generally seemed to enjoy the day.

“In the modern professional Rugby era, it was so refreshing for James to give us so much of his valuable time, and I'm sure that showing so much commitment and enthusiasm he has a big future in the game.” Said Mark Davidson, Secretary of St Albans Mini and Junior RFC.

St Albans Under 8’s will be the stars of the Cardiff Blues v Borders Reivers on Saturday the 15th of April when they will be playing at half time. Xavier Rush also visited Rhiwbina Junior rugby club as part of the Cardiff Blues Adopt a Player scheme so if you’re Mini or Junior rugby team would like your adopted player to visit your club, please ask your junior fixture secretary
to write in to Liz Challenor, Regional Clubs Co-ordinator at Cardiff Blues, Cardiff Arms Park, Westgate Street, Cardiff CF10 1JA at least two weeks before the event.
