Swansea born Jonathan Vaughton joined the Ospreys in 2005 on a two year contract. To date he has scored 9 tries for his club, including three in the 2006 - 2007 season and one in the pre-season friendly against the NEC Harlequins. Formerly of the Cardiff Blues and Swansea RFC, Vaughton has represented Wales at U18, U19 and U21 levels. He was part of the 2003 U21 Grand Slam winning team, but he fractured his right knee cap in the title-clinching victory over France. Vaughton has also represented Wales Sevens and was part of the Plate winning squad at the 2006 Commonwealth Games. He was called into the squad for the latter legs of the 2006 - 2007 IRB Sevens World Series in England and Scotland, and scored an impressive brace of tries in the Cup quarter-final against Scotland at Twickenham.
