Robin Sowden Taylor Out For 3 Months

28th March 2008

Having had the results of last night’s MRI scan, Cardiff Blues can confirm that Robin Sowden Taylor has damaged his AC joint in the shoulder which will need reconstructive surgery early next week.

The injury is expected to keep him out of action for 3 months, but Robin should be back in full contact training in July or August.

Speaking about the injury Cardiff Blues Physiotherapist Tim Atter said:
"Robin has damaged the ligaments in his acromio - clavicular joint, which is a small joint which connects to his main shoulder joint.”

“Having seen the shoulder specialist Mr Richard Evans yesterday, the opinion is that Robin should undergo surgery to repair the ligaments around the joint to ensure the best functional outcome, which will allow Robin to return to pre-season training and start the new season in the best possible condition.”
