The launch of the Cardiff Blues kit 2004/5 at Red Dragon FM radio station was a great success.
The exclusive event was attended by representatives of the supporters club, corporate partners and the Cardiff Blues team.
The evening event took the form a fashion show with Red Dragon FM breakfast show presenter Zoe Hansen as MC. A select few players from the Blues squad modelled the new kit and various other merchandise from the new Cardiff Blues range along with an exceleltn performance from world champion cheerleaders, Jo's Heatwave.
The privilege of unveiling the new Cardiff Blues home shirt at the end of the evening fell to Ben Evans and Jamie Robinson and both were honoured to have been given the chance to be one of the first people to wear the shirt.
Jamie said, Its fantastic that I have been given this opportunity to become one of the first people to wear the new Cardiff Blues home jersey. Its been a fantastic evening at Red Dragon FM and its obvious that the lucky fans that have been invited love the shirt and Im sure that when the rest of the fans see it they will feel the same!
Echoing Jamies sentiments, Ben Evans added, I feel flattered that Im wearing the new Blues jersey, I dont want to take it off! I must add however that the whole range of apparel that Canterbury of New Zealand are supplying is second to none, the supporters jersey in particular Im sure will go down a treat with the fans."
Following the fashion show Cardiff Blues captain Martyn Williams was next up on stage to present bmibaby, the principle sponsor of Cardiff Blues, with a new Temex home shirt.
The new Cardiff Blues jersey is now available from the Blues Rugby Shop at Cardiff Arms Park, as well as a complete range of Blues branded merchandise from new suppliers Canterbury of New Zealand.
