Blues Roadshow Kicks off at Parti Ponty

Fans will be able to meet their heroes this summer when Cardiff Blues players will be out and about meeting the supporters and helping out youngsters with some coaching tips.

There are several events planned in the five local authorities that make up the region and the Blues kick off a busy summer of events this weekend with a visit to Parti Ponty at Ynys Angharad Park. Amongst the numerous activities held on the day there will be visits by Cardiff Blues players Marc Stcherbina, Gethin Jenkins, Rob Sidoli, Rhys Williams who will be helping out Future Blues development officers with coaching sessions.

Later in the month the Blues will be hosting their annual summer Fun Day for junior members and their families on Sunday 16th July from 12pm at Cardiff Arms Park. The event will showcase many exciting activities including the legendary mascot race, bouncy castles, assault courses, climbing wall, rugby coaching from Blues players and coaches as well as visits from South Wales Police, South Wales Fire Brigade, the army and the RNLI.

There will be many give-aways and prizes to be won as well as face painting, entertainers, cheerleaders, and a chance to be creative with painting and craft stalls. Young supporters will have the chance to tour the Cardiff Arms Park ground, the trophy room and changing rooms and meet the Cardiff Blues team.

The first Future Blues summer coaching camp to be held from 31 July to August 3 is already fully booked. The second coaching camp from August 29 to September 1 is already half full so young fans that are eager to pick up tips from star players should book as soon as possible, with less than 40 places left.
