Blues North Tag Festival

16th March 2007

Twelve teams travelled to Ysgol Gynradd Cymraeg Garth Olwg this week for the second Future Blues North tag festival.

Boys and Girls from years 4,5 and 6 braved cold winds to put on a great spectacle. The skills level of these players emphasises why areas such as Beddau, Llantwit Fadre, Llantrisant and Llanharan have such a great rugby tradition.

The schools represented were Ysgol Gynrad Cymraeg Castellau, Ysgol Gynradd Cymraeg Llantrisant, Llanilltud Fardre Primary, Gwauncelyn Primary, Brynnau Primary and Llwyncrwn Primary. Well done to all the pupils and teachers from these schools.

TAG Rugby is a fast and open game that develops the running and handling skills needed for rugby. Anyone interested in learning more about how to coach and referee TAG Rugby should call Ben Rose – Future Blues North Rugby Development Officer on 01443 400563.
