Cardiff Firewalk for Tenovus Cancer Care

Feel the Fire and do it anyway!

If you’ve got fire in your soul for fundraising, but don’t want to take on a 20 mile hike, how about taking on a short 20ft walk instead?

Join us as we feel the fire and do it anyway and walk barefoot over a bed of red-hot embers measuring around 800 degrees. No tricks, no special effects. Just you and the fire!

All you have to do is trust yourself

In the heat of the moment, all of your survival instincts will tell you to stay put; to stay where it’s safe. But, with training from our experts and an enthusiastic crowd behind you, the fire within you will burn brighter than the fire around you, and you WILL rise to the challenge.

Don’t get all fired up

Fear is at the centre of the experience, but don’t worry - it’s perfectly safe, and the event is open for all ages (minimum age 16) and abilities.

On the night

Join us from 6.45pm – 10pm at Cardiff Arms Park, Westgate Street, Cardiff CF10 1JA

Firewalking is the act of walking barefoot over a 15-20ft long bed of hot wooden coals. A combination of pine, ash and oak is burnt and then broken down into a smooth red hot path of embers.

Join us for refreshments and registration from 6.45pm. At around 7.15pm you'll begin your fun and interactive training session learning new disciplines to help get you in the mind-set to ‘feel the fear and do it anyway’ and complete your firewalk. You will then begin your walk at around 8.45pm, where your family and friends are welcome to come along and cheer you on!

When you sign up to Firewalk, you will receive:

·         A fundraising pack to help you reach your target, including a free candle-bag and home money box

·         A fun and interactive training session from the Firewalking experts

·         A certificate of achievement, and to be able to say you really have ‘walked one fire’

·         Refreshments and nibbles throughout the evening

·         A fantastic atmosphere and lots of fun at the hottest night of the year!

Registration is only £12 and we ask participants aim to raise £80 in sponsorship.
