Blues v Scarlets will be the first Welsh derby match at the new Cardiff City Stadium, and David Young knows his team will have to improve on performances to get the win.

"This is our fourth match of the campaign and naturally I am concerned and frustrated about our form in our opening three matches."

"We had a similar start last season and that hurt us in the Magners League; because we were playing catch up towards the end and didn't finish where we wanted to."

The Blues have lost there opening three matches, albeit by small margins. Speaking of those matches Young added:

"If I was looking to take some positives from the matches, it is that we have improved with every game."

"Last year's problem, that maybe people didn't see because we were getting the wins, is that we were not scoring enough points."

"We're not scoring enough tries to put teams to the sword and force some of our pressure into scores."

Speaking of the Scarlets Young said,

"I'd like to think and hope that form goes out of the window in Welsh derby matches."

"I've been very impressed with the Scarlets this season."

"They've looked very threatening with ball in hand and their defence is very good and they really work hard for each other."

"We know we are going to have to play better that we have so far and it's a hugely important game for us."

"We need to get a win, and once we do, the belief and the confidence will come flooding back."
