Paul Tito joined the Cardiff Blues from Taranaki in the summer of 2007. Paul was one of the most experienced players in New Zealand rugby, and the former New Plymouth Boys' High School pupil reached the rare milestone of 100 appearances for his province Taranaki during the 2006 Air New Zealand Cup. He spent much of the 2005 season on the sideline due to injury but bounced back in 2006 to become a crucial part of the Hurricanes team which reached the Super 14 final. Tito has captained New Zealand Under-21 and led New Zealand Maori to victory in the 2006 Churchill Cup. He made his provincial debut in 1997 against Australia and his Super 14 debut in 1999.
